On May 1, 2026, the Taranis-Spartan Kids Race Changsha Station took place at the Baxi Island in the Dawangshan International Tourism Resort. As the first Spartan Kids Race held in Hunan Province, the event attracted over 2,000 young participants.
The competition featured three open age group categories: 4-6 years (3.2 km, 18 obstacles), 7-9 years (4.1 km, 22 obstacles), and 10-14 years (5 km, 26 obstacles), along with an elite division. The venue was set on Baxi Island along the Xiangjiang River, the third largest island in the Changsha section of the river. With an overall greening rate exceeding 90% and a forest coverage rate of over 80%, the natural playground intertwined with metasequoia forests, reed marshes, and open water areas, creating a perfect blend of ecology and wildness.
As a brand new competition area, the Changsha station attracted many first-time Spartan race participants, injecting fresh energy into the event. At the same time, local young warriors with rich competition experience and solid athletic foundations also made their debut on home soil.
After intense competition, the champions of each elite group were crowned. Tu Jiahe and DeCeuster Lynne won the 13-14 age group title, while Xiang Jianhao and Duan Yuning claimed the 11-12 championship. Lin Xiuxuan and Feng Jiamei took the top spot in the 9-10 age group, and Zhang Alexander and Zhang Emma emerged victorious in the 7-8 age group.
